Casa Gallardo was founded in 1975 in St. Louis. The first location was on the ground floor of the tallest building in Westport Plaza. The restaurant was a huge success, which led to its sale to General Mills in 1979. After rapid expansion and growth, Casa Gallardo went through different buyouts and was out of business by 2012.
