It's a known fact that St. Louis is a city oozing with creative soul and grit, and no place proves it more than Cherokee Street. Once known as "downtown of the South Side", Cherokee Street is the quintessential microcosm of St. Louis. Its colorful 1.5 mile stretch transcends political, socioeconomic and cultural boundaries like no other, and its evolution over time has reflected the overall dynamics of the larger city around it. If we took all the different ingredients that make St. Louis an interesting, inspiring and challenging city and put them in a blender, we would end up with a Cherokee Street smoothie. And damn, it's refreshing.
